Appointments

Urgent Appointment

Appointments are provided daily for those with urgent problems. If you request one the receptionist will need to gather some information from you in order that the doctor can ensure your request is treated in most appropriate way.

You will usually be seen the same day.

Emergencies: please call 999 immediately if you suspect a life threatening condition e.g. stroke, heart attack, collapse, serious illness or injury

Routine Appointment

Telephone 0345 3379955

These can be made by telephoning or calling in during opening hours. You may attend any doctor but it is best to stay with the doctor who knows you best.

As demand for doctor and nurse time often outstrips availability, and to allow time to be used most effectively, all requests for clinical contact will be triaged through the practice team of a GP, nurse, and receptionist on duty for that day to allow your request to be directed to the most appropriate person for that task.

Telephone Consultations

In an emergency you may talk to a duty doctor on any given day. If it is a routine matter, please book a routine telephone consultation with the GP who knows you best.

The GP will aim to call you back at the specified time but this may not always be possible due to other demands.

Chaperone Policy

If you wish to see our Chaperone Policy please ask at Reception.  A Chaperone is available on request

Home visits

If you are housebound or too ill to attend the surgery you can request a home visit by telephoning the surgery (before 10.30 a.m. if possible). A doctor will call after the morning surgery. In emergencies, reception will have a GP speak to you directly. Please only request a home visit if you are unable to attend the surgery due to medical reasons, as the time taken for a home visit can be used for several surgery consultations.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
